GRAPHIC DESIGN PRODUCT
Title: "Owl Be Home for Christmas"
Process: We were given a tutorial to create a "curious owl." Our teacher gave us the freedom to alter the colors of the owl and the background elements. The tutorial is included as a link to review so you can see the many steps it took to create this product. I used Adobe Illustrator CS5 and used several different tools to create the owl, the tree branch, the snow, and Christmas tree. I used the shape tool to create each individual element. To form the shape I needed, I used the direct selection tool and had to add anchor points to achieve the feature I was working on. I used the pencil and pen tool to draw and used gradients and fills to give my objects depth and shadow effects. Since it was around the holidays, I included a Christmas tree.
